OrderYOYO and OrdFox both give a takeaway its own ordering website and app, so customers order from you rather than from a marketplace. The main difference is how you pay: OrderYOYO takes a commission that falls as your sales grow; OrdFox charges a published monthly plan.
What OrderYOYO does well
OrderYOYO is a Danish company founded in 2014. Its first Irish restaurant, in Dublin, joined in 2016. It has grown by buying other ordering providers (app smart, Kingfood, Gustoco, App4 and Foodticket), and in 2025 it was acquired by the London private equity firm Pollen Street. It works in Denmark, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria and, since October 2025, the Netherlands.
Its offer for takeaways covers a branded website and app, a POS (YOYO POS) and managed Google Ads packages. A commission model has one honest upside: in a slow week, you pay less. And if you want someone to run your Google Ads for you, OrderYOYO sells that as part of the relationship. OrdFox doesn’t.
What it costs
OrderYOYO doesn’t publish an Irish rate card. What it has published, checked on 6 October 2026:
| Item | What OrderYOYO says | Market |
|---|---|---|
| Commission | Weekly, in brackets by revenue; “as low as 6%” | General |
| Customer service fee | £0.75 per order, paid by the customer, from 7 April 2025 (up £0.25) | UK |
| Google Ads | Minimum £12.50 a week | UK |
| YOYOPay card processing | 0.99% per order | UK |
Two things to ask before you compare: which commission bracket you’d be in at your usual weekly sales, and whether your Irish customers would pay a service fee on top of their order. On a €25 order, every percentage point of commission is €0.25, so the bracket matters.
The contract
We couldn’t find OrderYOYO’s restaurant terms for Ireland published online, so we can’t quote the term or notice period. Ask for the agreement before signing, and look for the minimum term, the notice period, who owns the domain and the app listing, and how the customer service fee is set.
Commission or a monthly plan: a simple way to compare
The two models suit different shops. A commission grows with your sales, so it’s gentle when you’re quiet and heavier when you’re busy. A monthly plan stays the same whatever you sell. To compare them fairly:
- Take your average online orders per week and your average order value.
- Multiply by the commission bracket OrderYOYO quotes you, and add card processing.
- Ask whether your customers also pay a service fee, because that changes what they pay at checkout.
- Compare the yearly total with an OrdFox plan plus your card processing and the per-order fee set out in our agreement.
Do this with your own numbers before deciding. A takeaway selling a few online orders a week and one selling hundreds will get very different answers.
When OrdFox fits better
- You’d rather pay a fixed monthly price you can see in advance. OrdFox plans start from €45 a month billed annually (€59 monthly), ex. VAT, on a 12-month agreement. See pricing.
- You deliver with your own drivers. Driver dispatch and live tracking are included in every plan.
- You want payments in your own account. Card payments go into your own Stripe account.
- You want to talk to customers directly. Automatic customer messages send emails and notifications to your own customers. This is not Google or Meta ads management.
- You’d like support in English or Portuguese.
OrderYOYO may suit you better if you want a commission that tracks your sales, or a supplier that also manages your Google Ads.

Frequently asked questions
How does OrderYOYO charge restaurants?
OrderYOYO charges a commission on orders, calculated weekly in brackets: the more you sell, the lower the rate. It advertises commission 'as low as 6%'. Its Irish rate card isn't published, so ask for your brackets in writing (checked on 6 October 2026).
Does OrderYOYO charge my customers a fee?
In the UK, yes: from 7 April 2025 customers pay a £0.75 service fee per order on OrderYOYO websites and apps, according to OrderYOYO's own notice. We couldn't find a published figure for Ireland, so ask OrderYOYO whether a customer fee applies to your shop.
Can you move my OrderYOYO menu to OrdFox?
Yes, we help you move it. Bring your current menu link to a call and we'll agree how it's moved over and when, so you can review it before your customers see it.
Is there a contract with OrdFox?
Yes. OrdFox plans run on a 12-month agreement, from €45 a month billed annually (€59 monthly), ex. VAT. Setup is tailored and quoted before you commit, and we send you the agreement to read before you sign.
